Shed Your Old Identity
In January of this year, I attended the Evolutionary Business Council’s (EBC) annual retreat where I experienced a blend of business and marketing training, high-level masterminding, and transformational work. I love this group of people because they have a big vision/mission to create global, sustainable change. It was my first EBC event and I’m happy that I joined.
Thankfully, that harshness inspired Steadman to prove to that man that he could be different. He went on to college and also earned a master’s degree. Steadman decided, “It’s not how the world defines me...it’s how I define myself.” I loved that because many people are still stuck on their old identities and definitions.
Following is what you do:
If it lives in you as the great desire for your life, you can have it. Trust that. Put sticky notes around or say affirmations to make it your reality.
5. Get Support. Seriously, you will fall down, forget, and become discouraged. You need to have someone who holds the deep knowing of you and your vision and can guide you on the path to get there.
6. Celebrate all small wins. Each time you shed another layer of the old or added a piece of the new you, do a happy dance. Have a friend or two that you can brag with. Journal it. This will stick it to you faster as you are working on integrating your new identity.
