Being Thankful for Business is Crucial
As I begin a new year, I like to take a moment to reflect on the blessings that my business has rendered. I enjoy acknowledging the gifts it has given me and the lessons I have learned.
Your business has a soul and you can be connected to that energy, so why not start this year by honoring your business in this loving way.
Following is the letter I recently wrote to my business:
Dear beautiful business,
You gave me life
You gave me purpose
You taught me leadership and where my edges were
You cured my need to be loved by my clients
You gave me friends, hope and love
You showed me parts of me that I never thought possible
You found my voice and tribe
You kicked my butt but still I never left you
You never left me
You called me home, and then away again so I could leave the nest
You let me make the biggest difference I could
You trusted me with a bigger message
You demanded loyalty, even when I was scared
You made people healthy, happy, and fully expressed in their businesses and life
You showed my son what women making money looks like
You taught me courage and determination
You taught me grit and fearlessness
You helped me find my voice
You taught me to lead and inspire
You taught me to be real
You helped make my parents proud of me and the work
You saved people’s lives
You have been the most beautiful expression of my soul's work in the world I am forever grateful and honored to have been the steward of this business.
Thank you for the tremendous gifts you have given to me.
Thank you God for entrusting this business to me.
Now imagine if you began your day feeling the love towards your business. Express the ways in which you are thankful for business. I bet things would go much smoother for you. You may want to add this as a regular practice. Small business owners have plenty of reasons to be thankful.
Peace and blessings for a fabulous 2020!
