With Clarity Comes Power
With clarity comes power is a phrase commonly used by Tony Robbins on the topic of key distinctions shared by happy and successful people. The clearer you are on what you want, the more your brain knows how to get there.
Is your focus on the right things to grow your business and, more importantly, do you know who your ideal clients are?
You may have heard the saying that if you are marketing to everyone, you really are not marketing to anyone. I would hate to see that happen to you because I believe that there are many people needing what your business offers.
Following are three areas to gain clarity in:
Who are your ideal clients? How would you describe them (in a way that somebody else could identify them and introduce them to you)
What problems do you help your ideal clients solve?
What solutions do you provide for your ideal clients (your products or services)?
Understanding your ideal client is core to your business. Make certain that you are crystal clear here.
If you have ever coached with me, you know that there are two things I am always harping on. The first is on clarity and the second is on consistent strategy. It is very surprising to me that many entrepreneurs are attempting to run their businesses without these two things. From my perspective, this would be like trying to live without air and water. Remember the following lines from Alice in Wonderland:
If you don’t know where you are going…how can you create a plan to get there? It is not possible. Without clarity you cannot take consistent strategic action. You can take action, but much like Alice, will be walking in circles.
Clients who are not clear get inconsistent results because they are simply doing things everyday. It can be deceiving because they will feel very busy...perhaps they even feel productive. But they will not get the results they desire. When you have clarity you have power.
Now is not the time to play small. Now is the time to dream a bigger dream than you have ever dreamed before. And if you are unable to dream that big by yourself, contact me because my clients will tell you that I am exceptional at holding a big enough space for them to create a vision that they can step into.We need to understand what success looks like to you. Your vision of success is totally unique--there are no right or wrong answers. It may coincidentally be similar to my vision of success; however, it will more likely be completely different. I’ve learned in my own life that if you fail to identify your vision, others will plan and direct your life for you.
A compelling vision will help you succeed, be more satisfied with your life, and get the most out of your business relationships. Many leadership experts emphasize the importance of crafting a clear vision for your life to propel you and inspire those around you to reach their own dreams.
With clarity comes power and your mission here is big so I encourage you to be as specific as possible in the vision for your business. And remember that clarity comes from engagement rather than from thought. So keep those feet moving and you will find the path and the next steps.
